Women at Greater Risk for MVAs - New Research
published an important article on February 11th to give to your female MVA patients.
Women are more likely to suffer serious injuries in accidents rather than men. Period.
The reasons are many.
Starting with: women tend to drive smaller, lighter cars. They also tend to get struck more in side-impact and front-into-rear crashes.
Even in fatal cases, women, on a per-crash basis, are 20% to 28% more likely to be killed!
This data comes from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety.
For unexplained reasons, researchers note that women are more likely to suffer leg injuries -- more than 2.5 times.
In our June 19, 2020 PI Email publication there are clear biological differences that explain the greater damage to women based on body mass, muscles strength, and size.

How Many Are Too Many PI Visits? Or Too Few?
PI Guru Dr. Lewkovich answers the common question: How many treatments for a “typical” PI case are justified?
There isn’t a “typical” case. Every MVA and each human are different.
The question that can be asked is: How many visits are too much -- inviting intrusive scrutiny?
The standard is, of course, justified
What about the
distribution of care for trauma? Or the
of care for trauma MVA?
Lewkovich now provides the data. Our guru collected this information from his internal sources from two insurance companies. Enjoy the read.
