Brain-Back-Body Exercise Program

Dr. Robert Adams created a specific neuro-integrative exercise program combined with traditional strength building protocols to increase brain neuroplasticity and core spinal stability. Sounds great, but what does that mean? And what does this have to do with PI?

Adams uses this program to help patients help themselves with Trauma Cases. Most health care professionals do not do Trauma cases. However, ER MD's, some orthopedists and most chiropractors work with Trauma on a regular basis. Every trauma patient must have a home exercise program. And, it must be documented in the chart and report.

Dr. Adams imaginative program will increase the patient's strength, coordination and balance. This program is available electronically. Each workout is about 30 minutes. We are enthused that a DC offers something rare to help patients who suffer from Trauma. We strongly believe that the patient who does 'homework' assigned by the DC makes the most compelling witness.

LA Superior Court - Chiro beats Ortho

Mr. Shirvanian was rear-ended, then spun around then forced into a retaining wall.

The chiropractor diagnosed an annular tear and Multiple disc protrusions. The damage to the car was over $7,200. Realizing the potential injury on a mature male, the DC made immediate plans to corroborate his diagnosis via an MRI and with several MD specialists. Once the DC confirmed the severity of the injuries. Then the DC embarked on an aggressive plan, with the help of MD's under his control, to improve the condition of the accident victim.

State Farm forced this case into trial by not making a fair offer. St Farm hired well known insurance orthopedist Keith Liberman, MD of Beverly Hills. The jury chose to believe the chiropractor and his MD team over the hired insurance doctor.

Award $106,460. June 21, 2013, LASC Case No BC 480761, Judge Elizabeth Lippitt. Shirvanian vs. English

10/10 Pain? -- Without Proof -- Bombs

Juan Villegas while on I-5, was rear-ended with his wife, daughter and grand-son. The defendant admitted liability.

Juan claimed that he was hurt so severely he registered 10/10 afterwards, but he also waited 2 days following the accident. Both husband and wife suffered from long term back complaints before the accident.

Defendants brought an army of specialists: utilization & cost analysis MD expert; accident reconstructionist and biomechanical. The defense spent at least $25,000 on their experts.

The jury gave a paltry $2,655, with the plaintiffs claiming over $10,000 in chiropractic bills.

Villegas et al vs. Garl, VC 61335, Norwalk, June 25, 2013, Judge Michael Linfield.

PRACTICE TIPS
Always bring in pro DC, MD's with disc injury cases to support your DX
MRI is an excellent device to prove serious trauma disc injuries.
Pre existing injuries should HELP a PI case--so long as doctors do not try to hide the history--but rush to disclose.
Exaggerated pain always turns off a jury.
