Moreno Valley DC wins big case

Eric Grover was rear-ended at an off-ramp on I-215 in Riverside. Defendant admitted liability.

However, Defendant argued that Grover had a pre-existing bad back. That most of his medical and chiropractic treatments, by Paul Berinson, DC were unnecessary. The jury did not agree.

Grover argued that he suffered herniated discs at L4-5 and L5-S1 because of the accident. Grover admitted he had prior back pain -- but nothing compared to his pain after the car crash. Not only did Grover receive chiropractic he also got epidural injections. Grover was also injected with facet blocks for his low back.

Grover asked the jury for $65,276.82 in past medical bills and $20,000 for future medical bills.

Defendant offered only $13,209. After 1.5 days the jury awarded Grover some $90,276.

Grover vs. Olivo Oct 24, 2013, Riverside Superior Court, Judge Ottolia RIC 111 9786.
